Make loading and unloading large items faster, easier and safer with Barn Door Containers
Most bulk storage containers today come with two drop doors for easy access. These are very handy for when you need to access your product that is near the bottom of your totes. It can help relieve back pain for your employees as they don’t have to lean as far over to get to the materials. For some projects, though, this just isn’t enough. For especially heavy objects, you simply can’t lift them out by hand. That can mean getting a crane just to move your inventory out of storage. You could also just have large prepackaged kits that are too awkward to lift over the walls, with or without the drop doors. For these sorts of things, RPP Containers can install a barn door on the container of your choice so you can access all the way down to the base with ease.
Barn doors can be installed on the 48" side of almost any sized container. Standard heights come in 34", 42", and 50", so there are a few options to make sure you get what you need. If you need a different height, they can usually be made; shorter or taller. Their metal construction means they are durable and won't break down after a few uses. With spots for a padlock, you can be assured your product is safe and secure. This modification doesn't hamper the containers ability to stack, so you don't have to compromise space for access.
For your heavy objects, you can open up your barn door and unload your product from the base with a forklift. These don't just aid with very large products. If you have small, packaged material that is hard to reach when you get to the bottom, a barn door allows you to open the whole side and walk right into your totes to get those last few products. These are especially great if you have prepackaged kits. With this type of access door, you don't have to break down the kits after shipping. You can simply open the side and slide the whole kit out.
The barn door modification to a container can really help solve some accessibility issues you might be running into. Heavy materials that can be difficult to load and unload can really be benefited by this type of accessibility on your packaging.
