4 pasos sencillos para reciclar su contenedor bulk con RPP Containers

Recycle your old broken bulk containers

RPP Containers’ lines of reusable plastic collapsible bulk containers are designed to offer a long service life and last for years of industrial use. Over time however, your bins may get damaged by a forklift or during shipping, but that is where the 100% recyclability of our bins helps give even more added value to your DuraGreen collapsible bulk containers. In just a few easy steps, RPP Containers can help you responsibly recycle the broken bins in your fleet and, in some instances, even repair your broken bins to extend their life further.

Sort damaged and good bulk bins

Step One - Refurbishing or Recycling

Step one for refurbishing and recycling your bulk bins is simply segregating your damaged or broken bins to accumulate enough units to make the inbound shipping to RPP Containers more economical. Once you have bins ready to ship, we can coordinate everything so our team is ready to receive and inspect your containers. You will be provided with a per lb. scrap price for the HDPE material and given a preliminary credit memo with an estimated value for your broken bins.

Inspect and repair

Step Two - Bulk Bins have been received

Once your bins have been received, step two is for the RPP recycling team to inspect and weigh the broken and damaged containers. Our team will make deductions for dunnage, metal, and water and can also set aside bins that might be eligible for repair rather than just recycling. In some instances, our team will be able to salvage certain components from different containers and combine them to rebuild some of your units. RPP Containers will ensure that any refurbished bins we build from salvaged parts are 100% fully functional and structurally sound. Anything that would pose a possible usability or safety concern will be placed in the recycling material pile.

Step Three - Inspection and Weighing

After inspecting and weighing your material, step 3 is to review the receiving report, which will break down the lbs. of plastic and the number of salvageable units. After review, our team will grind up the broken bulk containers into small pellets to reuse the material in future container molding. RPP Containers can grind millions of pounds of HDPE per year, which equates to tens of thousands of collapsible bulk containers. We are equipped to responsibly recycle your fleet, regardless of size.

Credit or payment options

Step Four - Payment

Step 4 is payment. Most of our customers decide to apply the credit generated from recycling their bins to purchase new DuraGreen collapsible plastic bulk containers or to purchase some of our refurbished RefurBest containers. If your plans change and you do not require replacement units, RPP Containers can also pay out the value of the credits via bank transfer.

RPP Containers' commitment to sustainability

RPP Containers make recycling your plastic bulk containers at the end of their usable lifespan as easy as possible. This can help keep your replacement costs down and can help reduce your company's carbon footprint. You can also rest easy knowing that our process will keep broken bins from ending in landfills. Your decision to recycle your bins, along with the same decision by other customers, has helped RPP Containers save over 1.5 million cubic feet of landfill space since 2018.
